Mike decides to leave the game and asks Scarlett to marry him which she does. During their marriage, Mike could only whine about the life he lost because he married her. So she throws him out. And when he loses his job, he returns to the only place he’s happy at – his old high school. And while looking at his high school photo, a janitor asks him if he wishes he could be 17 again and he says yes. Trivia: When Ned Gold goes to meet the principal for the second time, he is dressed up flamboyantly and he called it “peacocking”. This is a tongue-in-cheek reference to Pick Up Artists.

Goofs: Factual errors: When 17 year old Mike is dancing with the cheerleaders at the beginning before the game, the coach yells at him to cut it out, calling him Vanilla Ice. That was in 1989, and Vanilla Ice didn’t make it big until 1990-1991.
